Tanner Richie – ‘Breaking Rules’ [Official Music Video] release

After much anticipation, the date has finally arrived…Tanner Richie has released his ‘Breaking Rules’ music video!  The video depicts the struggles he’s faced in the music industry and how he’s overcome them…but this isn’t a ‘POOR ME’ video in the least bit.  The ‘Breaking Rules’ music video stars Nick Marrinson and Tim Banks (playing the ‘BIG TIME’ producers), Jessica Prieto (playing Tanner’s girlfriend), and of course Tanner himself.  Behind the camera is Nick Cabanas from Azura Entertainment, who also directed and edited the video.  Unlike most of today’s music vids, ‘Breaking Rules’ leads the viewer/listener through a complete story which will keep you watching till the end.

“I see so many music videos that don’t tell a story and don’t seem to have any content relating to the song they’re representing…I wanted the ‘Breaking Rules’ video to relay a message and leave the viewer with some form of new found hope or drive, rather than it being a collection of random shots,” says Tanner.  “It was a great experience working with Nick at Azura…He was able to mold my idea and turn it into the video it’s become.”

Cue The Violins – Releasing on ITUNES April 12, 2013

‘Cue The Violins’ is the newest of Tanner’s singles.  It’s an aggressive Pop/Dance break-up song filled with comedic overtones…it won’t make you want to cry if you’ve been cheated on, rather you’ll have a sudden urge to throw your former love’s clothes in the mud from the bedroom window of your your two story house.

The song features a hard synth bass, punchy drums, and violins of many…It mixes the synth driven Pop/Dance sound with an organic feel giving it a new edge in today’s music scene.  When the chorus hits in ‘Cue The Violins’, there is a 105% chance you’ll want to dance and an even higher chance you’ll put your ipod on repeat.

‘Breaking Rules’ Music Video Release 4-1-13

Late last year, I had the pleasure of filming the ‘Breaking Rules’ music video with Nick at Azura Entertainment (http://azuraentertainment.com/).  It was a long editing process, but the video is now completed and I can’t wait to show it to all of you!  Azura Entertainment KILLED IT!!

‘Breaking Rules’ isn’t just another meaningless song thrown together to fill space on an EP…it has a message that hits close to home.  The lyrics lead you through my story, and the video compliments this by quite literally showing you some of the struggles I’ve faced in music and in life.  In a little over 4 minutes, you will feel as though you’ve watched an entire feature film on Tanner Richie.

What is ‘Breaking Rules’ all about?

So Tanner, what is this ‘Breaking Rules’ CD you speak of??

‘Breaking Rules’ is my first self produced/mixed/sung EP (short CD in ghetto terms), mastered by GRAMMY winner Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering.  This EP explores different themes than the usual Top 40 club bangers, magnifying different struggles I’ve had to overcome in my music career…struggles which most everyone has to overcome in their career.  With songs like ‘Wonders Of Our Future’  discussing the ‘standstill rut’ we all get stuck in, ‘Flip It Around’ making sure you flip your doom and gloom day 180 degrees, and my title track ‘Breaking Rules,’ giving an in depth glimpse of my dealings with producers and other hot shots in the music industry, anyone can relate to the tracks in this CD.
